James' career spans some of the most elite advertising shops in the country. He started at Doyle Dane Bernbach on Madison Avenue, where he quickly produced award-winning and memorable work for NY Lottery, Hershey’s, USS Intrepid Air & Space Museum, and YouthAids

With long underwear in tow, he then joined Fallon, Minneapolis where he again graced the award shows with his work for Holiday Inn, Citibank, BMW, and Travelers. To this day, he still holds a grudge against Ellen DeGeneres for robbing him of an Emmy for his Travelers Snowball commercial.

After Fallon, James joined Goodby, Silverstein & Partners to create fully-integrated work for the NBA, Netflix, Adobe, and Sprint.

For the next six years, as Executive Creative Director at M&C Saatchi, James helped the agency quadruple in size and billings while managing a staff of 85+ strong and 13 clients (Reebok, Vizio, Epson, San Diego Zoo, Alibaba, Netflix, FX, & Oakley) while installing a social department (SHARE), an innovation department (Bits&Pieces), and an entertainment industry-specific agency (Heavenspot).

Currently, as an ECD at Arnold Worldwide, he works with Santander Bank, Hardee’s, New England Revolution, and the Project Play (ESPN + Aspen Institute).

Among his notable achievements: published author (albeit a book of Citibank headlines), proud artist - with an ad hanging in the New York City MOMA, and creator of an Adweek Top Spot of the Year. Yet, nothing compares to the two best things he’s ever produced: his nine year old son, Will and eight year old girl, Rory.
